Othian Guitars is a boutique builder of high-performance electric guitars founded by Cary Miller in the foothills of the Cascade mountains, just outside of Seattle. With a background in aerospace, he uses the techniques he learned in that industry, as well as old school guitar craftsmanship to build Othian guitars. He applies the same principals of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing in crafting his instruments as he used in the aerospace industry. This means that Othian guitars are meticulously engineered to maintain the highest level of quality and consistency.

Cary fell in love with guitars at the age of 7, when he was given a beat-up acoustic guitar that a family friend was going to throw away. It was junk, but he loved it, and it led to a lifelong obsession with guitars and how they work. He built his first electric guitar in his 9th grade shop class back in 1998. He’s been collecting and building them ever since. After years of planning, designing, prototyping, testing and perfecting his process, he started Othian Guitars in 2021.

From first cut to final polish, every Othian guitar is crafted with exceptional attention to detail from the highest quality materials, creating an instrument for art that in and of itself is a work of art.
